
WHAT IS MOBILE GROOMING?
Mobile grooming is a premium service for you and your pets. Our van is equipped with fresh water, a water heater, a grooming table and air conditioning. Every thing that would be done in a stationary shop is done in the van in your driveway. We come to you for all of your pets grooming needs.
WHY DOES MOBILE GROOMING COST MORE THAN A SHOP?
Mobile grooming will tend to cost more for the convenience it offers you. This includes the special one on one attention with your pets with absolutely no caging. Also transportation costs of the grooming van.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
We currently service St. Charles (60175) and surrounding areas. Typically north of I88, south of I90, west of I355 and east of route 47.
WHAT KIND OF PETS DO YOU GROOM?
Dogs under 70 pounds and cats that require a shave down.
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes, due to the space available in the mobile grooming van, we are able to accommodate dogs up to 70 pounds.
CAN I WATCH YOU GROOM MY PET IN THE VAN?
Due to insurance reasons only the groomer and grooming assistants are allowed in the vehicle.
WILL YOU MAKE A VISIT FOR JUST NAIL TRIMMING?
Yes. I will put your name and information on a "nails only" list and call you when I am in your area based on a rotation schedule of your choosing (typically every 4-8 weeks). Please note that a nails only visit is $20 per pet.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN GROOMING?
I have been a professional groomer since 2010 and have a lifetime experience with dogs and cats.
DO YOU TAKE DOGS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
Yes, with some limitations. Please call for details. For example, I will not take pets that need to be tranquilized, as they should be groomed under the supervision of a veterinarian.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH MATTED DOGS OR CATS?
For the safety of the pet, I DO NOT de-mat. I recommend shaving down the coat and starting over with a fresh coat. I also recommend putting them on a regular schedule to keep the matting to a minimal level.
WHAT ARE YOUR TYPICAL HOURS?
My service hours are 8:00am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, with my last appointment starting at 3:00pm. However, for people that work during the week I do offer evening appointments. At this time, we do not offer weekend appointments.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER FOR CATS?
At this time we are only taking cats that have had a good history with professional grooming with no known biting or scratching. The only service I offer for cats is a complete shave down or lion cut (with a very short blade), nail trimming, ear cleaning and a waterless bath. This service starts at $95.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
At this time it is recommended that you call 1-2 weeks before you would like an appointment. Also, for an appointment right before the major holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) it is recommended to book 4-6 weeks out.
DO I NEED TO REBOOK THE DAY OF MY PETS SERVICE?
No, however it is recommended to assure that your pets stay on a rotation with an appointment time that works for you and me. Typically, people rebook for every 3-6 weeks.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash, check and major credit cards. However there is a $3.00 fee for using a credit card.
